Chicken noodle dinner, prehistoric artifacts, and learning sign language

Join Legion in Walton for chicken noodles

WALTON — Walton American Legion Post 418, 111 Depot St., Walton, will have a chicken noodle dinner from 11 a.m. until the food is gone Wednesday, April 2.

The menu will include chicken noodles, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, green beans, stewed tomatoes, beets, dressing, salads, pie and other desserts, along with coffee and iced tea. Carry-outs available. Cost will vary on the order submitted. All are invited.

Learn about home gardening at workshop

The Cass County Extension Homemakers will present a Home Gardener's Guide workshop at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1 at the 4-H Cloverleaf Complex at the fairground. Extension Educator Mark Kepler will teach and answer questions about gardening, tomatoes and care of perennials. There is no charge and will be open to public.

Sign language class in the works at library

Easy Signing, a free sign language class, will be starting in April in the Conference Room of the Logansport Public Library. The introductory class will meet for an hour on the first and third Tuesday of the month for six months. The first class is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1.

Prehistoric artifact exhibit coming to Peru

PERU — The Indiana Archaeological Society will sponsor an exhibition of prehistoric artifacts from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Miami County Fairgrounds, 1079 W. 200 North, Peru.

There will be more than 100 tables on display of some of the finest relics in the Midwest. The event is free and open to the public.
