BATTLE GROUND — Wolf Park is hosting a holiday party for the wolves (and for kids too) from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Due to weather last week it was rescheduled to this weekend.

Children are invited to help put food ornaments on the wolves' tree starting at 1 p.m. Following the presentation of the tree for the wolves, children can go indoors and see Santa, who will be giving out gifts and taking requests. There will be guided tours throughout the afternoon, and warm drinks for all.

Eagles fundraiser to benefit Doughty family

The Eagles is presenting a benefit for the Patty Doughty family hosted by her co-workers. The benefit will begin with an auction at 6:30 p.m. Saturday upstairs at the Logansport Eagles, and will include a performance by the Eel River Band from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. A donation of $2 per person will be collected at the door. All proceeds will go to the Doughty family.

There will also be a raffle conducted during the band's performance. The Eel River Band is donating its time and talents for the benefit, and the Eagles is donating the use of its upstairs ballroom.

Anyone interested in donating to the auction can contact Ken Utter at 722-1003, or deliver the donations to the Eagles prior to the auction.

The benefit will be open to the public with a dance floor and an open bar. The Eagles kitchen will also be open until at least 9 p.m.
