Community happenings: Youth soccer, 'Stage Door,' obedience training


---- — Youth soccer sets registration dates

Logansport Youth Soccer 2014 spring registration dates and times at the Logansport Library will be as follows:

• 6 to 8 p.m. Friday

• 11 a.m. to noon Saturday

• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 15

• 2 to 4 p.m. March 16

Children in preschool through eighth grade are welcome. The organization allows 3- and 4-year-olds to play, however parents must coach their team if that young.

Registration fees are $40 per player. Registration forms can also be picked up at Midwest Eye Consultants and the Logansport Library if you would like to pick one up before those dates.

Deadline for all registrations and fees to be turned in and paid will be 4 p.m. March 16 to guarantee a place on a team.

The league is looking for volunteers as well. Any questions, call Dave Cook at 574-870-9741.

‘Stage Door’ performances coming soon

The upcoming Civic Players production “Stage Door” is being performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. March 9, all at McHale Performing Arts Center on the Logansport High School campus. All tickets are $10.Call the box office at 574-753-4116 for more information.

Dog obedience training slated

A Cause for Pause/Logansport Kennel Club dog obedience training will be at 6:30 p.m. March 11 at Cause for Paws in the Logansport Mall. This is orientation and sign up, people only. No dogs this night, and come in the back door. For more information, call Nancy Moore at 574-889-3495.
