Southeastern School Corp. will soon be celebrating its 50th anniversary. A celebration will be 2 to 4 p.m. April 27 at Lewis Cass Jr.-Sr. High School, 6422 E. Ind. 218, Walton.
The program will begin at 2 p.m. in the auditorium featuring trends over the decades and highlighting accomplishments through the years. Tours of Thompson Elementary, Galveston Elementary and Lewis Cass Jr.-Sr. High School will follow from 3 to 4 p.m.
The Southeastern School Corporation was consolidated in 1963. The 50th year for the school corporation was in 2013, but the first graduating class was in 1964. This year’s graduating class of 2014 will be the 50th class to graduate from Lewis Cass High School. Dan Ronk, the senior class president of the class of 1964, will be the guest speaker for the event.
All alumni from 1963 to 2014, and all past and present students, employees, and volunteers are encouraged to attend. If you have a favorite memory you would like shared, email it to Pam Roller at email@example.com by March 31.
