Salin Bank names new VP
INDIANAPOLIS— Michael Greer has been named to lead commercial and business banking efforts throughout the state for Salin Bank.
Greer's extensive experience includes leading Associated Bank, Rockford, Ill., where he served as President and CEO. He also was the director of Commercial Banking for First National Bank & Trust, Kokomo, now BMO-Harris Bank.
Greer has a B.S. in business administration from Ohio State University where he majored in finance and marketing. He is a graduate of the School of Banking from the University of Wisconsin.
Salin Bank and Trust Company, a family-owned community bank, is one of the top ten chartered banks in Indiana with assets of more than $850 million. Salin operates 23 banking locations including in Burlington, Delphi, Flora, Galveston, Logansport and Walton.
Farmland leasing program slated in Sept.
Farmers, landowners, bankers, and farm managers are invited to the upcoming program Finding Balance in Farmland Lease Contracts.
Many times there is confusion in determining a fair value for land rents and which lease option matches the expectations for landowners and tenants. The Purdue Land Lease Team has developed this program along with several publications that address the many questions concerning land leases.
The program will be from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 13 at Ivy Tech College /Logansport Campus, 1 Ivy Tech Way.
Tamara Ogle and Paul Marcellino, Purdue Extension educators from the Purdue Extension Land Lease Team, and Miriam Robeson, attorney at law, will be the speakers. Topics covered include trends in land leases, essential communication for optimum landowner-tenant relationships, determining your land’s cash rent value, types of farmland leases, legal aspects of a good lease and understanding landowner-tenant expectations.
