Hoosier hospitality, a welcoming smile and knowledge of your community are key factors in turning visitors into returning customers and customers into revenue that benefits everyone.
The Cass County Historical Society has logged visitors from 17 states as well as from Ireland, Norway, Mexico, Japan, China and Germany. The Cass County Carousel has hosted children and adults from 44 states, 14 countries and 154 cities in Indiana, selling over 23,000 tickets last season. These are two of our attractions that have tapped into their hospitality skills and have delighted visitors with their warm welcome.
Generations of visitors have returned to treat their children and grandchildren to the fun and history found by riding the Carousel and trying for the Gold Ring and by looking through the ever changing exhibits at the Cass County Historical Society Museum.
The Cass County Visitors Bureau is anticipating an eventful summer in Cass County! Festivals, attractions and events at local venues will fill our local calendars from spring through fall. We have the opportunity to showcase our Hoosier Hospitality not only at our annual events but also at a few new “happenings” this summer in Cass County.
New in 2014 will be the France Park Falls. It’s a MAXC AMA dirt bike and four-wheeler race to take place July 18 and 19 that is expected to bring 3,000 to 5,000 visitors to the area. Also new this year, the Fort Wayne Railroad Museum in conjunction with U.S. Rail will be offering steam engine excursions with the 765 Steam Engine on three weekends in July and August. The round trip excursions will travel between Logansport and Kokomo with excursions originating in each community. The itinerary is available at www.fortwaynerailroad.org. The excitement generated by these excursions is expected to bring not only riders but train enthusiasts from neighboring states eager for photo opportunities of the 765.
