Carroll chamber has Business After Hours
FLORA — The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will have a Business After Hours event from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Sycamore Industrial Park located on Ind. 75 just south of Ind. 18 in Flora.
Visitors may tour Big Barn Shrimp Farm, Brenneco Fire Protection and Indiana Letterpress, all occupants of the industrial park.

Donors honored at IUK dinner
KOKOMO — Indiana University Kokomo recently honored its donors at the annual Chancellor’s Guild Dinner.
Milt and Jean Cole, Keith and Carmella Cole, Randy and Candy Cole, and Kokomo Grain were among 16 donors honored as members of the Seiberling Society, for giving more than $5,000 during the year.
Chamber member breakfast slated
A breakfast for new and renewing Logansport-Cass County Chamber of Commerce members will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. May 14 in the CLEDO Community Room, 310 Pearl St.

WorkOne to provide service opportunities
INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers will soon be able to take advantage of community and national volunteering initiatives while participating in free training, education and job-seeking programs and services currently offered at WorkOne locations throughout the state.
This comes as Serve Indiana (formerly known as The Indiana Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives) merges with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Volunteering and AmeriCorps national service opportunities include mentoring and tutoring youth, building affordable housing, creating and repairing trails in state parks, and teaching literacy, job readiness, and nutrition. Some volunteers receive a living allowance, as well as educational scholarship assistance.
