BIZ BUZZ: Deadline imminent on annual awards

Deadline imminenton annual awards

The Logansport-Cass County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its five annual awards to be presented later this year.

Nominations must be submitted by Monday and will be kept confidential. Forms are available at the chamber office, 311 S. Fifth St., or by emailing info@logan-casschamber.com.

The chamber seeks to decide which companies and businesspeople have had the greatest impact on the quality of life in Cass County during the past year. Awards will be presented in the following categories: Businessman of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year, Large Business/Industry of the Year, Small Business/Industry of the Year, and Quality of Life.

Chamber schedules ambassador lunch

The Logansport-Cass County Chamber of Commerce ambassadors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 24 at Logansport Memorial Hospital, 1101 Michigan Ave. Other business representatives are invited to learn of upcoming community events.

Carroll chamber plans meeting, awards

DELPHI — The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is planning its eighth annual membership meeting and awards program for Oct. 30 at the Wabash and Erie Canal Center, Delphi.

The chamber will present its Business of the Year and Charles Carroll awards

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. Corporate table sponsorships are $100 and individual tickets are $15.

Cass chamber setsannual dinner

The Logansport-Cass County Chamber of Commerce will have its annual dinner from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Angie’s Catering and Cakes, 1107 17th St. The organization’s annual awards will be announced at that time.

Safety award applications open

INDIANAPOLIS – The opportunity to apply for the 2014 Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards is now open. The annual occupational safety and health awards honor Hoosiers and Hoosier businesses for innovations, internal education and outreach, external education and outreach, and partnerships.
