Spokesmen for the local Department of Child Services and Family and Family and Social Services Administration offices say staff have moved across the street to new offices in Cass City Center.
The offices, formerly located in Logan Square Office Building at 300 E. Broadway, were moved early this month to suite 300 in Cass City Center, 301 E. Broadway.
James Wide, spokesman for the Indiana Department of Child Services, indicated all 18 DCS staff members had made the transition. FSSA spokesman James Gavin said 16 staff members on the FSSA side had moved.
“Now we’re sharing a little more space, such as a common break area,” Gavin said.
Gavin said no other FSSA staffers are moving into the Cass County office. Wide also indicated the number of DCS staff members hadn’t changed as a result of the move.
Earlier reports on renovations to the third floor of Cass City Center had indicated 35 jobs would be moved there and 25 additional positions would be created.
