White County EDhaving annual luncheon
MONTICELLO — The White County Economic Development organization will host its annual luncheon at 11:15 a.m. Feb. 21 at the Best Western Plus Brandywine Inn & Suites in Monticello.
Eric Doden, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp., will deliver the keynote address and Dan Zuerner, vice president of Garmong Construction Services, will provide an update of progress made by the organization in 2013.
A record crowd of more than 200 people is expected to attend this year’s event.

Goodwill to havejob fair Wednesday
WARSAW — Goodwill Industries of Michiana Inc. will facilitate a job fair with Peoplelink Staffing Solutions and Cardinal Services ready to hire from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Career Center, 751 Anchorage Point Drive in Warsaw.
The staffing agencies will be seeking individuals for a variety of positions in various fields from entry level to management. Those interested in attending the fair should dress professionally and bring a current resume. Candidates should also be prepared to interview for the position that day.
Security Federal VP to serve on review panel
Rachael Chosnek, vice president of compliance at Security Federal Savings Bank, has been selected to be one of 22 representatives of U.S. financial institutions to serve on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Small Business Review Panel, as required by the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act.
Chosnek has been in the banking industry for 10 years with the past two years at Security Federal. She received her B.A. from Purdue University.
Security Federal Savings Bank has $209 million in assets with five branch locations — two locations in Logansport and one location each in Kokomo, Delphi and Lafayette.
MCF promotes officers to sergeants
BUNKER HILL — Miami Correctional Facility promoted several staff recently.
Three officers were promoted to sergeant:
• Debbie Douglas was hired at MCF in March 2008 as a correctional officer.
• Buford Nice was hired at MCF in October 2005 as a correctional officer.
• Brandon Wicker was hired at Pendleton Correctional Facility in April 2011 as a correctional officer. He transferred to MCF in June 2012.
Their promotions were effective Feb. 2.
Also promoted was Matt Bishir, who promoted from a casework manager to an Internal Affairs Security Threat Group coordinator. Bishir began his career at MCF in March 2007 as a correctional counselor.
