Changes coming to night club

Schwerbo’s will incorporate tiki lounge, jungle theme.

A night club in downtown Logansport has a new owner.

Steve Schwering recently signed a lease for the De Ja Vu. The owner of Century 21 Schwering Realty Inc. said leasing the business was a better option for him at this time.

“This way I can see how well I do,” he said. “This protects me and them.”

The bar opened under the new ownership on July 3 and will continue to be opened from Thursday until Sunday.

In addition to the new hours, Schwerbo’s, as the bar will be known, will undergo many changes on the inside.

Schwering, who is also a local DJ, plans to brighten up the inside of the club. The front part will be changed into a tiki lounge with palm trees and bamboo. The back portion will have a jungle theme with updated music.

He also hopes to serve food at some point.

Schwering felt the changes were necessary.

“I basically listened to everybody that has been in there,” he said.

Schwerbo’s is located at 520 E. Broadway and can be reached at (574) 753-5915.

New collision center opens

Logansport Collision Center opened on June 4 and specializes in automotive collision repair and body work.

Owner Scott Hunter has 25 years of experience in both Logansport and Kokomo, so opening his first business just seemed right.

The new business, located at 1730 Woodlawn Ave., has its own frame rack for repairs and a painting booth.

As a part of his business, Hunter said he will work with customers to do on-site estimates and can call or fax the information.

“I will handle all the leg work for them,” Hunter said.

He also has a free loaner car available to customers while the shop handles repairs.

The business is opened from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday.

Logansport Collision Center can be reached at (574)753-6634.

Curves moves into new home

Curves of Logansport announced it will move to 618 15th St. on July 19.

The business is currently located at 2511 E. Market St. and announced plans for a move in April, but needed approval from its head office.

The business was looking for a bigger space, which will allow room for a stretching circuit.

Curves can be reached at (574) 739-2878.
