Edward Jones hosting presentation

Edward Jones financial advisor Dee Wenk of Logansport will host a free satellite broadcast titled, “Midyear Market Update: Your Questions Answered,” at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at 313 Mall Road.

During this interactive program, participants will hear questions from a panel of investors and answers from Alan Skrainka, Edward Jones’ chief market strategist. Skrainka will address where the economy was, where it is, and how to focus on what investors can control to keep their investment strategies on track.

Cramer joins bank’s board of directors

Arden Cramer, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Logansport Savings Bank, has joined the bank’s board of directors.

Cramer was elected by stockholders at the recent May annual meeting.

He has 30 years of experience in the financial sector. He has served on boards of many non-profit organizations representing education, business, and health care.

Cramer is a graduate of Ball State University and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

SBA offers online business workshop

The U.S. Small Business Administration will conduct a free online business workshop from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 16.

The online workshop will provide guidance to prepare small business owners for meeting with a lender. Business owners will learn how SBA is involved in the loan process, what documents to take to a lender, and how to make a good first impression with the lender.

Business plans and other strategies needed to help business be successful will be discussed. The session will provide an overview of SBA guaranty loan programs and services that can help an entrepreneur start or grow a business.
