FORT WAYNE (AP) — Officials say a Fort Wayne man has died four days after being pinned in a pond underneath a riding lawnmower.
Indiana Conservation Officers say 26-year-old Robert Houser Jr. died Tuesday of complications from being stuck in the retention pond of a subdivision on Fort Wayne's southwest side.
Sgt. Patrick Heidenreich says Houser was working for a landscaping company when the mower slid down an embankment into the pond on Friday. A co-worker was able to free Houser from underneath the mower and start CPR. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
