Crash on U.S. 24 injures two

Both cars totaled in collision at Logansport Road.

A crash early Friday morning left two cars totaled and sent their drivers to the hospital.

At about 5:58 a.m. Friday, a gray Ford Taurus driven by Mark D. Majors, 37, Denver, was westbound on U.S. 24 at Logansport Road, when it collided with a 1992 Cadillac driven by Robert Klein, 25, Kokomo.

Klein was eastbound on Logansport Road and attempting to cross U.S. 24, according to a release from the Cass County Sheriff's Department.

Rural/Metro Ambulance took both drivers to Logansport Memorial Hospital — Majors sustained leg injuries, according to the sheriff's department, and Klein had a laceration to his head.

Both vehicles involved in the collision were a total loss.

Cass County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Pruiett cited Klein for failure to yield the right of way at the intersection.
