LOGANSPORT — A 32-year-old Logansport woman died in a single car crash early this morning.

Nicole Savini was pronounced dead at the scene after her car ran off the road on U.S. 24 and flipped over an embankment, according to Cass County Coroner George Franklin. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene at 4:15 a.m.

Savini’s car was found about two miles west of Logansport, Franklin said.

She was heading westbound on U.S. 24.

The reason for the crash is still under investigation, Franklin said.

“At this point, I don’t believe alcohol is involved, and I don’t believe speed is involved,” Franklin said.

The cause of death was blunt force trauma, Franklin said.

There were no other passengers in the car, according to Franklin.
