NWS-PT070513 Fourth of July 6-segway

BALANCED: Jessica Crook, Logansport, may be a Special Olympics athlete, but she'd never tried to ride a Segway vehicle before Thursday. "I won't let him go," Crook said, talking about how Big Bounce Fun House representative Bryar Plasters, left, held onto the balancing handle on the vehicle's front as she learned to ride. After a few minutes of constant coaching, Crook told Plasters "I can do this -- let me go" -- and made it several feet on her own. "I want one of them," Crook said after dismounting.
