James H. and Carol Jackson

James H. and Carol Jackson, Galveston, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 13, 2009, and are planning a celebration with family and friends in the summer of 2010.

James and the former Carol Wright were married Dec. 13, 1959, in St. Luke’s United Brethren Church in Kokomo by the Rev. Shephard.

They were high school sweethearts at Kokomo High School.

He is a retired semi driver for North Pacific Lumber. She is retired as a homecare equipment specialist.

They are the parents of James T., Kokomo; Jodie Jackson, Logansport; Jerrald Jackson and wife, Heather, Young America; and Jennifer Medford and husband, Rick, Valdosta, Ga.

They also have 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild with one great-grandchild on the way.
