Joyce and Bill Black

William A. “Bill” and Rega “Joyce” Black, Logansport, will celebrate their golden anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 at the Country View Inn.
Mr. Black and Joyce Good met at the National Guard Base in Grayling, Mich. when Joyce accompanied her sister, Janet, on a weekend visit to see her husband.
Bill proposed to Joyce over dinner at the Whitehouse Restaurant in Logansport, and they were married Feb. 12, 1958, in the Salvation Army, Logansport, by Capt. Wanda MacGregor.
He is retired from Logansport Municipal Utilities, and she is a homemaker.
Their children are William A. “Bill” Black Jr., Logansport; Rita Davis, Kokomo; James Black, Delphi; Mark Black, Royal Center; Tammy Manning, Logansport; Bobbie Sue Black, Kokomo; and Nick Black, Lillington, N.C. They also have 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
